A pharmacist by training with a PhD in Pharmaceutics having strong interest in Intellectual Property Rights and Regulatory Affairs for pharmaceuticals. Additionally, possessing Post Graduate Diploma in Patents law from the NALSAR University of Law, LL.B. and LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law. Academic accomplishments include, publication of several research papers on pharmaceutical formulations in high impact international journals. Also, have authored two textbooks, several book chapters and have filed three patents. Was invited to write a column on basics of IP governing Pharmaceutical industry that was highly acclaimed by readers. The writings are soon getting published as a book.

Currently working as Associate Professor at the MVP's College of Pharmacy (formerly NDMVP’s College of Pharmacy), Nashik, Maharashtra in the department of Pharmaceutics. Involved in teaching subjects such as Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics and Intellectual Property Law to undergraduate students, and Research Methodology and Drug Regulatory Affairs to the post graduate students. Has worked for the pharmaceutical industry in the area of conventional and novel pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. Additionally engaged in consultation assignments as a patent consultant and has offered services such as:
patent search, patent landscaping, patent drafting, FTO analysis, drafting office action replies and advising on design around strategies in formulation development.
